Many marketers think ESPs are responsible for delivering email to the inbox. But they’re not. The role of ESPs is to deliver mail to the Internet Service Providers (ISP) and webmail services, such as Yahoo!, Hotmail, Gmail, AOL, etc.

ISPs are the ones who have the final say in what happens to your mail – whether to block, junk or place it in the inbox.

Now, this is the important bit that ensures your email makes it to the inbox…

Whitelisting using WhitelistNow

Here’s a short 1-minute video showing just how quick and easy it is for subscribers to whitelist you using WhitelistNow.

I’ve got two windows opened to show this happening. In one window is a “thank you” page after someone opts in to my list with WhitelistNow on it. The other window shows the Contacts in my Gmail account.

No matter how many times I do this demonstration, it always brings a smile to my face when I see a contact appear instantly in my Gmail Contacts. This is what happens when your subscribers whitelist you using WhitelistNow on your site.
